Application & Product Development Engineer

International company (450 people in France) with long term values and a good reputation as an employer seeks an Application & Product Engineer with a real interest in the technical side of the role. Permanent contract – Travelling : +/- 40% (France) – home working when not travelling – fully serviced car – Salary according to experience. Sector – building products –  insulation.

 

 

Location: France (40% travel)
Responsibilities:
    The Technical Support 50%:
  • Resolve technical questions from the different local group divisions and their customers directly and follow-up the technical mail box (technical questions and calculation requests)
  • Organise customers and sales team presentations (factory or on-site) based on technical support presentations;
  • Develop additional technical marketing content related to job sites (chantiers), customer experience, market news for different formats (whitepapers, newsletters, social media content).
    The Market Intelligence: (10%)
  • Detect market trends and regulations;
  • Stay up to date with competitor solutions and system developments.
    The Application Development: (35%)
  • Manage development projects in cooperation with the internal teams (product management, marketing, sales and business development):
  • Detect market needs;
  • Define clear product and system solutions;
  • Implement product range updates;
  • Manage market launch.
    The Complaints Management: (5%)
  • Follow-up complaints from reception to closure, and perform site visit(s) if needed:
  • Complaint reception;
  • Communication with sales representative/customer;
  • Follow-up of the complaint in the complaint management software;
  • Advice on technical evaluation of the complaint to management and collect feedback from management.
