Our client is a government agency responsible for planning and executing strategies to enhance their position as a global business city. They undertake investment promotion and industry development, and work with international businesses, both foreign and local, by providing information, connections to partners and access to government incentives for their investments. Their mission is to create sustainable economic growth, with vibrant business and good job opportunities for their city.

The Paris office is seeking a Senior Marketing Associate to support their efforts in promoting their city as a global business hub for companies looking to grow in Asia. You will have the opportunity to interact with leading companies and senior executives and execute marketing strategies across multiple markets.


As Senior Marketing Associate, Europe, your main responsibility will be to develop and execute the partnerships, content and concepts of the established marketing strategy in Europe. This entails:

Partnerships and Partnership Strategy

  • Identify and engage relevant partners with whom our client can work with to market to the business community in Europe. Examples of partners include tax consultancies, international business expansion advisories, professional employment organizations, venture capital and private equity firms.
  • Work with these partners on marketing initiatives, which can take the form of events, content, joint marketing campaigns, or others.
  • Propose and monitor metrics to track the success of these partnerships, as well as our overall partnerships strategy in Europe, on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Together with the Regional Director, assess sponsorship and partnership opportunities to determine the relevance and return on investment for the marketing efforts.

Content and Concepts

  • Ideation and crafting of marketing content and messaging in Europe (inc. collaterals, event pages, social media copy).
  • Work with partners and content agencies to develop and publish original content across a range of formats and mediums (e.g. article, infographic, white paper, presentation dec, video, podcast).
  • Work with partners to identify speakers to feature at our events.

Execution and Logistics

  • Plan events which will entail the following but not limited to – sourcing and procurement for suitable venues and vendors, identifying suitable speakers, preparation of event invitations, set up event registration page, respond to enquiries, to our work and our events, liaison with vendors.
  • Support event logistics (e.g. assist with venue set-up, engagement of guests (i.e. welcoming guests, assisting with enquiry)
  • Prepare speaker and admin briefs.
  • Prepare post-event report and analysis of outcomes.
Location: Paris 8th
Essentials Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Language proficiency in French and/or German.
  • Skills in writing engaging marketing content.
  • Good research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage with senior executives and their personal assistants with a high level of confidence and professionalism.
  • Interest and openness to finding and testing new martech solutions to improve our marketing campaigns effectiveness and efficiency (e.g. GenAI tools).
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in digital marketing, content marketing, media, or journalism.
  • Able to physically work in our Paris office when required. Work-from-home arrangements are subject to our internal policy guidelines. Employees are expected to be in office for at least 2 days a week or when there are work meetings/ exigencies.
  • When required, able to travel within Continental Europe and UK.
  • Highly organised, multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactive, positive, can-do, self-starter mindset.
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting.
  • Able to navigate ambiguous and ever-changing context.
  • Able to work in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Willing to learn, experiment and innovate.
  • Education background in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or related fields is preferred.
